Welcome to my website

Hello and welcome to my site.  My name is David Strafford and I’m an experienced events professional and freelance teacher and lecturer in Higher Education, with a wide range of international experience.  I’ve been working in the events industry in some capacity since I started promoting my own nightclub events whilst at university in the late 90s, and then later starting Hopper Events Ltd with 2 fellow directors.

I have experience working in the music industry, at outdoor festivals, children’s events, experiential marketing events, student union venue management, high end hospitality events and loads more – I love the events industry and I love sharing my knowledge and insights with students.  Then I started teaching in 2012 and found my calling in life, I have so much enthusiasm and dedication to giving my students the best possible learning experience that I can – and have won inspirational teaching awards as a result!
